Elizabeth turned 8 on the 29th and was also baptized. We are so proud of her. We made a very large cake. She chose lemon and raspberry. Grandma frosted the monster cake. Wendy helped to prepare all the food and make sure we were ready to go. It was great to have family in town. We also had good friends from Nashville come and help us celebrate.
EJ and Scott chose this dress while they waited for Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Wendy's flight to arrive. A cream dress with sequins and beading.
Elizabeth chose a lemon cake with lemon frosting and raspberry filling. Oh, and it had to round! After consulting with a friend who makes cake, we decided on a tall cake with many layers. Enough to feed 25. Well, it fed us and would have fed at least 10-15 more. I got a little carried away but it was fun to make such a tower. Judy did the frosting for me and it was good. I never attempt such crazy parties/cakes with out Grandma's help! 
Party time! don't you all wish you were here? We had chicken salad sandwiches, strawberries, grapes, oranges, apples. then there were veggies: carrots, celery, tomatoes, mushrooms, fluffy jello salad (we should have made a double batch!), and assorted chips and dips. And the monster cake you saw above. Lots of tasty food and good conversation.

What a wonderful day! We wish we could have been there. The cake turned beautiful and EJ looked lovely.
