Holidays and sickness

So I've decided that it wouldn't be the Christmas holidays unless at least one member of the household was sick. Even tonight WH didn't finish his smoothie which is unheard of. Not 5 minutes later it was all over the floor. Hmmm. Such joy. For us this past week and a half everyone but me and SRI2 have been sick. For the latter I am grateful because if I'm sick who will take care of everything?

Other than sickeness Christmas was great. Very low key and a quiet. It was an exercise on my part to not go overboard with toys. We did get lots of books and videos and the Wii (which is really for me and Scott to box each other and bowl!) Grandma sent the PJ's that only she can make and they are perfect as usual. Wall-E was the other big hit.

It's been interesting to do one's own stocking. What do you do for yourself? We'll have to work on that tradtion and give it a little tweaking.

Thank you for all the cards and chats.
Wishing you all a wonderful New Year!

Grandma pjs. I didn't realize when I sent the fabric that it was all blue. WH was ready for bed and not happy to be cornered for a photo op.
Christmas dinner with friends. No dinner would be complete without Christmas crackers and the hats and bad jokes that come with them.

You'd never know it was Decemeber here. 50 degrees and clear. IA had fun on the trampoline after dinner.

Christmas Eve none of us felt like cooking and so we went out for dinner. I'm not sure if we've ever done that before. But it might become a tradition if it's just us.
