New Year's Resolutions

It is that time of year when we start anew. I've noticed over the past few weeks that our normal routines have been sliding. That could have something to do with holidays. In any case it's time take charge again.

The past two Sundays have focused on goal setting and using our time wisely. There were some great quotes and scriptures given. Basically it's time for me to stop watching from the sidelines saying "I wish I could do that. or I wish I had more time. or why can't I get it all done?" No more! Well lots more but hopefully less than last year.

Here are some of the areas I want to improve on. New Goals (or old ones revisited!):

Budget--keeping on track and not having spending sprees (unless we saved it first)

Eating well--hooray for Pick 5 and meal planning. I've got January and February already planned and a few for March and April. We'll see if we can make that food budget go farther.

Exercising--doing 30 minutes of yoga each night and perhaps walking to get the kids a couple of times a week when it's not rainy. I want to run a half marathon again next spring.

Keeping better in touch (thank yous, birthdays etc.)--I do okay but I'd love to get everyone this year. I think it will start by making the cards now and then getting them off at the beginning of each month....

Crafting (king quilt and baby quilts, toys and curtains)--This is my longest list (except Spiritual which I am not listing here) and the most fun. This category also includes doing more crafiness with the kids.

Here's to another year of trying to be better.
